Case Study: Controlled Goods Training
A client had nominated a new designated official who required training in controlled goods along with a staff of engineers, software developers and technicians. Controlled Goods Consulting held three short one-on-one training sessions with the designated official over a two day period. This covered the controlled goods security plan and went into detail about the controlled goods regulations, the Controlled Goods Directorate, the control export list and the duties of the designated official. Two additional training sessions were held for the staff that taught them how to protect controlled goods in handling, storage and shipping. As a result, the staff were able to properly access controlled goods and the designated official was able to meet with a Controlled Goods Directorate auditor to explain the security plan.
